After spending several years as a production assistant for directors such as David Fincher, Ridley Scott, and Michael Bay, Marcos Zavitsanos’ self-financed spec reel became a launching point for his directorial career. In 2000, Zavitsanos was given a Heineken spot called “Father & Son”. That spot, which originated from Bates Hong Kong, garnered awards at LIAA, Telly, Cannes and went on to achieve several other high-profile awards. In all, the spot took in close to twenty awards globally and secured Zavitsanos as a viable commercial director. He has also won additional awards for his PSA work as well as several other spots that he has directed. Zavistanos is known for his strong creative input and easy-going demeanor.
