Hank Benson is a 5th generation San Franciscan and the youngest and loudest of 5 children. He is a sailor turned architect turned photographer turned director turned father … not necessarily in that order. He has a passion for story telling, cooking, gardening and his family. Although a large percentage of the jobs that Hank shoots are "Big" production jobs, some of the most memorable and exciting jobs are those shot with a tiny crew and budget to match. He thrives on creative challenges, collaboration and strong relationships based on compassion and integrity.
Hank has received many awards and acknowledgments for his work in both print and film, including numerous Cleo awards, One Show and Addy awards and awards from the San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Dallas Art Director's Clubs. He has also received the “Best Television Creative” award at the Latino Marketing Awards show. However his most important and precious award is the Cleo that sits on a bookcase in one of his daughter's rooms and now reads; "Genevieve Benson" Champion Artichoke & Salmon Eater.
